AUCKLAND TOURNEY.
C AND D GRADE GAMES. FINAL MATCHES POSTPONED. Matches yet unpluycd in the Auckland Lawn Tennis Association's C and D grade competitions are to be arranged by players themselves. Semi-finals and iinais in these competitions were to have been played at Stanley Street to-day, but this morning's rain made the courts unplayable. It is hoped that flayers >will be able to complete the finals before the end of next. week. Three players are left in the men's singles.: J. N. Wilson is to play the winner of 11, Teal and A. E. B. Cheal. Four matches (one third round contest, the semi-finals and the iinal) have yet to be played in the-ladies' singles.. Miss James is to play Miss S. Harle-Giles in the third round, and the winner meets Miss M. Waters in one semi-final. It is possible that Miss Harle-Giles will play -Miss James this afternoon at Campbell Park, and that the match between the winner and Miss Waters will also be got off. The other semi-final is between Miss D. Bryant and Miss I. Solomon. E. Hickson and G. R. Tutt are to meet C. R. Stephens and J. Plant in one semifinal of the njen's doubles, and V. Barfoot and' MeElroy will play J. H., A. Wood and Tonson in the other. One semi-final has already.been played in the ladies doubles. The other ■two pairs left in this round are Misses H. Mackie and James, and Misses Cutforth and Waters.' The winning pair of these two will meet Misses Harle-Giles and Thomson in the final. Two matches have yet to bo played in the combined doubles before semifinals can be staged. R. E. Aubin and Miss Harle-Giles meet McGregor and Miss Baster, and Elder and Miss Bryant play Wilson and. Miss Z. Lloyd. The two winning pairs of these matches will enter the'semi-final dound.
