HOLY LAND TROUBLE.

EFFORTS TO FIND EEMEDY. (British. Official Wireless.) KUGBY, January 15. The Inspector-General of the Ceylon police force, Mr. Herbert Dowbiggin, will leave Colombo on 16 for Palestine. He has been commissioned to reorganise tbe Palestine force. A message from Geneva says tbe Council of tbe League of Nations yesterday afternoon continued its discussion on Palestine. Mr. Henderson, British Foreign Secretary, proposed the appointment of a committee of three members to define and settle tbe rights and claims of the Jews and Mussulmans in the matter of the Wailing Wall at Jerusalem. He suggested that',the members should not be of British nationality, should possess a profound juridical knowledge, and should be entirely unpre-

judiced. As soon as the report on the Wailing Wall was ready the work of tlie committee should be terminated. The Council adjourned in order that the proposal might be drafted.
