FIRES.
INSURANCE MANAGER'S LOSS.

WELLINGTON, Wednesday.
The seven-roomed residence of Mr. C. A. Marquis, general manager of the Temperance and General Insurance Company, at 29, Orua Street, Bona Bay, was totally destroyed by fire shortly after four o'clock this afternoon.
The fire had secured a good hold by the time it was discovered and nothing was saved. It was later discovered that a dog had perished in the flames.
