PAPATOETOE METHODIST SOCIAL LEAGUE.
A successful function, arranged by the Papatoetoe Methodist Church Social League was held in the Methodist Church Hall, Kolmar Road, Papatoetoe, on Tuesday evening. There was a good attendance. A programme of entertainment was provided by the Happy Pierrots. The concerted items of the company were well received aid the male quartet, consisting of J. and W. Sandereon, L. J. Kendall and H; Elder, was much appreciated. - Vocal eolos were given by Mrs. J. Sanderson, Miss K. Bryant and Mr. John Sanderson. Humorous monologues were contributed oy Mies Mabel Bryant and Mr. W Sanderson. Mr 6. J. Sanderson and Mies Ai. iJe Luen played the accompaniments. At the conclusion of the programme the audience took part in games and-coml petitions, the prize winners being Mrs SandbTßon and Mrs. Buckton. Supper! prov.ded by the Ladies' Social Guild , brought the evening to a close and all Wfsj* the singing of the National Anthem. ■ '---•■. -..,...... :.... ..„ ....
