DUTCH WOODEN SHOES.

The typical wooden shoes of the Netherlands are usually worn by peasants, fishermen and labourers, particularly in industries where there is considerable dampness. These shoes are hand-marie and each maker has his own design. In spite of the great variety of designs used, the general appearance of the shoes to the inexpcrieifced eye remains the same. The shoes can be procured in all sizes, and range in price from 1/ per pair for the smallest size up to 2/(3 for the largest, almost reganlii'sa ul style or design.
