Hauraki Mines. —The manager reports : "During the past week all hands have been engaged pushing the stopes to the end of the block in both directions, and no work has been done where the last lot of gold was got. but stripping the reef in that stope is again in progress. Gold is showing in three places, and the reef is a strong body of ore with favourable indications for a patch. Going seaward from this point strong blotches o£ sold were selected from the reef, and a few pieces of specimen stone were secured from the hangingwall pug formation. Rising from the 400 ft level on the junction of the Green Harp reef and the Stoekwood is in progress, with one shift: they are both ptron.g bodies of ore and might make gold at any time."
