DIRT TRACK NEWS.

Good proguess is being made with cinder tracks in the four main cities of the Dominion, and -within two months evening meetings will be held. The Western Spring Stadium is advancing rapidly, and shortly those riders who have not yet experienced the thrills of cinder racing will be permitted to indulge in practise, so that they might be thoroughly proficient by the time the first race meeting is held. A dirt track association has already been formed to control the clubs in New Zealand. Each of these clubs will pay a standard scale of prize money to the riders, whether or not the gate happens to be large or small: In addition, a comprehensive benevolent fund to provide for any rider who suffers | from injury has been arranged.
