TOUR DE FRANCE RACE.
The Tour de France cycle race of 3338 miles—the longest cycling, road race in the world—recently concluded in Pans, resulted in a victory for the Belgian champion, M. de Waele,,whd is a member of the successful Alcyon-Dunlop team. He covered the long journey in 186h 39m 16s. P. Demuyaere, another Belgian rider, was with Pancera (Italy) third. Nicolas Frantz, who has won this great race in'the two previous years, finished fifth. De Waele is one of the greatest rider* in Europe.- He was third to Frantz and Ledues last year, and runner-up to Franta in 1927.
