FANCY DRESS BALL.
A very successful masquerade fancy dress: ball Was', held in the Hobsonville Hall on Saturday evening, under the auspices .of the Women's Institute. The hall had been tastefully decorated. Wiseiey, witch; Mrs. Sowden, Spanish lady; Miss R. Andrew, Queen of Hearts; Miss Sinton, Eastern lady; Miss G. Sinton, butterfly; Miss Hunt, handkerchief; Miss Urwin, tennis; Miss Darrach, pack of-cards; Miss Armstead, community singing; Miss Barker, jazz pierrette; Miss Young, Eastern lady; Miss Dale,'pierrette; Miss Thompson, cigarettes;. Mis;;* Hughes, balloon; Miss Andrews, Egyptian; Miss Boyd, Hula girl: Mr. Williams, French artist; Mr. N. Armstead, harlequin; Mr. Copestake. Sir Walter Raleigh; Mr. •Schofield, modern girl; Mr. H.
