MUSICAL FAREWELL.
An enjoyable farewell party was given last Saturday evening by Mr.- and Mrs. John Redshaw, of Birdw'ood Avenue, Papatoetoe, to -their daughter Miriel, who is leaving for the South. Many young and friend's were present, and joined in games and music. Items of recitation and daaicing were. given by little Gertie Ellice, of Otahuhu. The rooms were attractively decorated with streamers, and balloons; roses and carnations, with maidenhair fern, brightened the supper table. The chief toast of the Evening was proposed by Mr. C. J. Mahon. In reply Miss Miriel Bedshaw thanked her friends for their kind wishes. The toast to the host and hostess was given by Mr. 0. M. G. Hughson. Mr. Redshaw responded. Mrs. Redshaw received her guests, wearing, beige crepe de chine. Miss Miriel Redshaw wore pale blue georgette with silver. Among the guests were Mrs. C. Pooley, fawn georgette Mrs. Gleland, black beaded georgette; Miss Jean Redshaw, pale pink crepe de chine with silver; Miss Pooley,; Duchess of York blue georgette trimmed J with gold; Mrs.- W. Redshaw, paimo ring velvet; Miss Craige Cowan, navy blue satin beaute; Mrs. Bartley, black georgette with lace; Mrs. 0. M. G. Hughson, ecru guipure lace with georgette to tone; Mrs. H. Bridges, black satin beaute relieved with grey; Mrs. Ellice,- black silk; Mrs. Taylor, rose charmeuse; Miss M. Sanderson, beige printed crepe de chine; Mrs. C. .J. Mahon, cream silk, knitted jumper suit; Mrs. H. Holmes, floral crepe de chine.
