INVITATION DANCE.
A private invitation dance was given by the committee of the business queen, Miss G. Utting, in connection with the Birkenhead Fire Brigade queen carnival at the Island Bay hall on Saturday night. Among those present were: Miss G. Utting, apple green crepe de chine; Miss V. Town, powder blue georgette and silver lace; Mrs. A. Clow, silver lace and black; Miss V. Moody, flame georgette with overdress of silk lace; Miss Graeie Revcll, pompadour taffeta and gold tissue; Miss E. Ross, green georgette and silver lace with uneven hem and shawl to tone; Miss G. Foster, black georgette and satin; Mrs. W. Meech, grey
crepe de chine; Mrs. F. Tothill, grey charmeuse with vieux rose relief; Miss L. Wells, heliotrope crepe de chine; Miss V. Nickalls, vieux rose lace over rose satin with frilled skirt; Miss Kathleen Donahoe, vieux rose satin with uneven hem; Miss Rene Taylor, green crepe de chine with posy to tone; Miss L. Beecher, black velvet relieved with red; Mies Ella Sutcliffe, jade green crepe de chine with pleated panels.
