M.P.'S TOUR OF INSPECTION. TRIP TO WESTPORT SUGGESTED. AVESTPORT, Tuesday. The hope is expressed at Wcstport that a Parliamentary week-end excursion will be arranged to enable members of Parliament to see the great earth and rock movements in the vicinity of Lyell caused by the recent earthquake. A boat 1 leaves Wellington on Saturday morning and will reach Wcstport on Sunday. It is stated th'at members could go by car to the big slip at Arnold's and travel the rest of the way on foot to Lyell. The excursion would enable members of Parliament to appreciate the task the Government has in restoring the roads to their former condition.
