ROWING.

NORTH SHORE CLUB. To celebrate -the annual presentation of prizes the members or the North Shore Rowing Club entertained their supporters and friends at a dance in the Parish Hall, Devonport, last evening. About 150 couples responded to the invitation, and a most enjoyable night was spent. The social committee deserve much praise for their work,, especially in the decoration of the hall. A pleasing incident was the presentation of a silver cigarette case by' Mr. E. Aldridge, Mayor of Devonport, on behalf of the club, to Mr. S. Butland, club captain, to mark their appreciation of his untiring efforts. The recipient suitably responded. The Mayor then presented the various trophies to the winners of the regatta and club trial crews. He also congratulated the members upon their success last season and upon the sound position of the club. Hearty cheers were given the ladies, the social committee, and donors of trophies.
