MOUNT ALBERT CLUB

The annual meeting of the Mount Albert Cricket Club was held in the King George s Hall, Mount Albert, last evening, His Worship the Mayor presiding over a good attendance. The annual report and balance-sheet, showing the club to be in a very progressive position, were adopted. The finances of the club were in a very sound position, the year closing with a credit balance of £10 0/o—assets £20, liabilities nil. The election of officers resulted as follows:—-l'atron, L. B. Rhodes, Esq.; vicepatron. G. C. Muniis, Esq., M.P.; president, ,T. Keg. Walker, Esq.; vice-presidents, all re-elected ; honorary member, J. S. Caughey, Esq.; management committee, Messrs. Delugar, Floyd, Hirst, Ott, and W. Rankin; delegates to A.C.A., Messrs W. Rankin and O. Slaney; club captain, Mr. W. Rankin; selectors, Messrs. A. Gallagher, K. Rankin; secretary and treasurer, Mr. F. B. Watts; auditor," Mr. E. Coleman. A presentation of caps, the gift of Mr. W. Rankin, was made to Messrs. G. Ott and K. Rankin, in recognition of centuries scored last season. A donation of a bat was made by Mr. W. Rankin for the player obtaining the first century in the club this season. Several new members were nominated, and it was decided to hold the first practice on October 5.
