WAIKATO TROTTING CLUB.
THE OCTOBER PROGRAMME. The next item locally of interest to trotting enthusiasts is the meeting of the Wnikato Trotting Club to be .held at Claudelands on October 12. The programme drawn up and offered owners is a very line one, and is particularly suitable to the great majority of horses in Auckland. The amount of prize money distributed over the eight events amounts to £1550, and tho programme is as follows:—lntroductory Handicap, of lOOsovfi (for trotters only), limit 4.10, one mile and five furlongs; Frankton Handicap, of HOsovs, limit, 3.56, one mile and five furlongs; Mark Memorial, of 4.josovs and ca'binet of cutlery, limit, 438 two miles; Hamilton Handicap, of 210s'ovs (for trotters only), limit, 4.48, two • miles; Claudelands Handicap, of ISOsovs limit, 4.40, two miles; Stewards Handicap, of 210sovs, limit, 2.19, one mile; President's Handicap, of loOsovs (for unhoppled horses), limit, 4.50, two miles; Visitors' Handicap,, of ICOsovs, limit 2.57.V, on© mile and a-quarter. Nominations close on Friday, September 27, with the secretary, Mr. T. G. Reynolds, Hamilton, or with Mr. A G. Mabee, secretary of the Auckland Trotting Club, at 5 p.m.
