VEAM /OR SOUTH AFRICA. SELECTION OF PLAYERS DEFERRED. (By Telegraph.—Press Assoctation.) WFLUNGIU>;, this day. Announcement of the New Zealand ladies' hockey team to participate in the Empire tourney in South Africa has been deferred until Octobiy 2 on account of difficulty that lias arisen over the number of players to be sent. The New Zonland Ladies' Hockey Association is now awaiting a reply to cables sent to the South African authorities. It has been announced definitely that women officials only shall accompany the team.
