MANUREWA TOWN BOARD.
The Manurewa Town Board held iia fortnightly meeting last evening, the chairman, Mr. Geo. Gallaher, presiding. Mr. W. R. Frost applied for an extention of his leave of absence, and after some discussion it was decided that this be given as affecting the next meeting. Great South Road Footpath.—Considerable discussion took place regarding th« proposal to erect a cattle-proof fence along the eastern footpath in Great South Road between the school and Corin" Avemie. Eventually it was decided to inspect the locality on Saturday morning next. Public Hall.—The foreman, Mr. v R. Forbes, was appointed caretaker of th« Public Hall. ~, Great South Road Finance.—A letter was received from the Minister of Public Works, advising that no assistance could be given toward meeting tbe interest and sinking fund charges accruing in respect of money borrowed for the paving of tht Great South Road. The letter was r»> ceived.
