CAUGHT IN LIFT

MISHAP IN CITY WAREHOUSE,

While working in the lift motor room at the factory of Messrs. Bond and Bond, Commerce Street, this afternoon. C. Greenslade, aged 18. of Kcwington Road, Henderson, had three fingers of Ms left hand taken off. He was taken to the hospital by the St. John Ambulanec. ?ir. Greenslade had his hand on one of the lift ropes, when the lift started and caught his hand between the rope and the wheel. Three fingers were severed at the, bottom joint. It is likely that he will lose another finger, which was badlv mauled.
