FOR THE SUNSHINE SCHOOL

NEXT FRIDAY'S COLLECTION. Auckland is to have the first sunshine school and solarium in New Zealand. The old Nelson Street school site has been secured, and preparations are now being made for the buildings. Friday has been fixed as a "Forget-me-not Day," and there will be a street collection in aid of the work. Mrs. N. E. Ferner and her friends have received every help and encouragement in founding the school, and the Government has promised to provide teachers and nurses. It is hoped to raise £1000. Much wonderful work in improving the condition of weakly and backward children has been done in similar establishments in the Old Country, and the doctors say there is plenty of scope in New Zealand.
