WIFE TERRORISED.

DIVORCE AFTER 35 YEARS. ONLY SIX MONTHS TOGETHER. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, this day. A decree nisi was granted by Mr. Justice H. H. Ostler > yesterday, on the petition of Harriet McLean for a divorce from her husband, Andrew McLean. The evidence showed that the parties were married in 1894, at Auckland, and that they had only lived together six months, petitioner being forced to leave her husband owing to his persistent cruelty. He often threatened to kill her, and she was terrorised. He had never maintained her since she had left him, and she had only seen him once since.
