Mysterious Find In Sydney

Excavations.

TOWN HALL SUBWAY. (Received 10.MO a m.) SYDNEY, this day. W'orkmen engaged in the Sydney tnderground railway excavations for tlie Town Hall station, have found under a portico, nine cedar coffins during the past week. One was filled with bricks, the second contained the remains of a dress suit, and the others held fine dust.

Their presence is a mystery. Many thusands of people have passed over the •pot in the last half centriry.
