Two Remarkable Cases Of
Tracheotomy.
INCISIONS IN THROAT
CAiutralian and N.Z. Press Association.) (Received 10.30 a.m.) LONDON", April 10. Two remarkable eases of tracheotomy were reported almost simultaneously from the Continent. Hansen, an artisan of Copenhagen, who was choking with a piece of crust in his throat, had the presence of mind to mate a pocket knife incision in his throat which enabled him to breathe until a surgeon removed the obstacle. The other case came from Budapest. Professors Balint and Pollachek, the latter a noted throat specialist, were conversing when Balint took a lit, under which he was suffocating, when Pollachek made an incision in his throat with a penknife and saved his life.
