The Minister of Health (Sir Neville House), replying to questions in the Hou.-e, .-aid that all the necessarv steps had been taken to guard against* an influenza epidemic. There was no further e\idenco of its prevalence in the Pacific Islands, but all precautions were beinij taken by the quarantine authorities.
