There passed away yesterday an old resident of the Thames in the person of Mrs. George Price, the widow of one of the founders of the well-known engineering firm of A. and G. Price.

Deceased was born in Portland, Maine, U.S.A., and arrived in New Zealand with her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Rowe, as a young girl. After her marriage in 1857 to the late Mr. G. Price she came to Thames, where she had resided ever since. During her long residence in Thames the deceased lady took a keen interest in all philanthropic undertakings and in church work. She leaves a grown-up family of eight sons and two daughters. MR. W. R. SUCH. The death is reported of Mr. William Parker Such, of 80, Bassett Road, Remuera, at the age of 83 years. For over 30 years he was in the railway service, mostly in the Waikato district. When he retired he was on the staff of the Newmarket station. He was a widower, having lost his wife 20 years ago. He is survived by three sons, five daughters, 45 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. MRS. ODINE McCOLL. The death has occurred at St. Helier's Bay of Mrs. Odine McColl, wife of Mr. James McColl, who was Mayor of Newmarket from 1915 to 1917. The deceased in war time took an active part in patriotic work, also in the management of the Soldiers' Club. She is survived by her husband, one son (Mr. J. A. McColl, of Sydney), and four daughters (Mesdames Eric Hay, Whangarei; J. Carmody, Dargaville; N. Blackie, Hamilton, and A. Mac Curdy, St. Helier's Bay). There are eight grandchildren.
