Three Men Sentenced For Brutal
Assault On Girl.
FOURTH ACQUITTED.
SYDNEY, November 30.
The story, .of .the. terrible ordeal of a girl of 17 at Parkes, who was criminally assaulted by several young men on September 24, was told in the Criminal Court, Sydney. The trial has occupied three days. It culminated to-day in the. tion upon a capital charge of three of the accused, Arthur Callaghan, Walter Littler and Bert Littler, who were "all sentenced to death. A fourth man, [Edward McCarroll, was acquitted and 'discharged.
