AMUSEMENTS.
LITf LE THEATRE SOCIETY. A new player of the Auckland Little Theatre Society is Mr. Fred Barker. This gentleman has had considerable experience with other amateur societies in different parts of New Zealand, and listeners-in will have heard his voice from IYA. Mr. Barker promises to give a delightful performance as Paul, the French soldier in Harold Brighouse'e one-act play, "Maid of France," which will be presented at the Concert Chamber, Town Hall, on November 28, 29 and 30 and December 1, by the Little Theatre Society. "Maid of France" is one of three plays that are to be presented on the one bill. The others are "Danger" and "The Boy Comes Home." EMPRESS THEATRE. Two excellent turns have been arranged for presentation at the Empress Theatre this evning. The first is by the "Ha! Ha!" boys, two clever comedians, who will feature song, story, gags and dance. The other is by a Chinese entertainer, Chun Yuen Tai, who will offer Oriental magi*: and cartoons. One of his best numbers is the silk, paper and Canton golden rings trick. A feature of his work is his cartooning and double-handed lightning sketching. "Hard-Boiled Haggerty," starring Milton Sills, will head the picture side of the entertainment. Sills appears in this film as an airman, and the story is a quickly moving war romance. Molly O'Day plays opposite him. Tomorrow's programme will be headed by "Ramona," which will ateo be screened at the West End Theatre.
