PERSONAL.
Colonel R. Tracy Inglis, Director of Medical Services, left for Wellington by train last evening. Dr. H. M. O'Connor, who has been resident medical officer at Vavau in the Tongan Islands, returned to Auckland yesterday. The Rev. E. Nicholls, pastor of the Ponsonby Baptist Church, has received a call to the pastorate of the Hastings Baptist Church. Mr. Frank H, Canaday, manager of the service division of the United States Advertising Corporation, whose home is in Toledo, Ohio, is on a visit to Auckland. He is at the Grand Hotel. Dr. L. Mail, medical officer at Apia arrived by the Tofua yesterday to spend three months' furlough in New Zealand. Dr. Mail is accompanied bv Mrs. Mail and they are at the Central" Hotel. Lieutenant J. W. Barry, N.Z.S.C., of Blenheim, has been appointed adjutant of the Ist Battalion Waikato Regiment and area officer at Hamilton, in place of Captain G. D. Dittmer, who has been transferred to Paeroa. Staying at the Albert Hotel are Mr. M. -T. Houliham (Wellington), Mr. R. A. Rutherford (Glen Massev), Mr. and Mrs Harold Cliff and Mr. E.* Cliff (Paparoa). Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Vosper and Mr. and Mrs. V. C. Allen (Cambridge). Amongst those staying at the Star Hotel are Mr. H. M. Aiby (Hamilton), Mr. T. Neale (Nelson), Mr. J. P. Martin and Mr. R. Batten (Wellington), Mr. and Mrs. J. Quin, Mr. T. D. Emden, Mr.. M. Baker, Mr. Cameron, Mr. C. P. Jeffreys, Mr. A. Smith (Christchurch), Mr. A. L. Neilson (Lower Hutt), Mr. W. I Vosper Mx. P.
