UNDEFENDED PETITIONS.

DECREE HIM GRANTED.

LIVING APART FOR FIVE YEARS.

A petition in divorce, in which Laura Laston McGarvey (Mr. E. J. Wright) sought a decree nisi against Edgecombe William McGarvey was granted by Mr. Justice Frazer at the Supreme Court this morning. The petitioner stated the marriage took place in July, 1919, and a separation order in her favour was made in 1923. She had been living apart from her husband for five years. There were two children, one of whom was living. Custody of the surviving child was given to the petitioner. Ethel Catherine Denton (Mr. Finlay) was granted an order for the restitution of conjugal rights against Harold Denton. The parties were married in February, 1917, and were happy until twelve months ago. Petitioner had received a letter from respondent while she was away on a holiday, saying he could not go on with their married life.
