RAILWAY CHANGES.
DUE TO RETIREMENTS. LOCOMOTIVE FOREMEN TRANSFER. Several changes in the New Zealand Railways locomotive branch have been announced in connection with recent retirements, the latest of the latter being Mr. J. Galloway, locomotive foreman at Christchurch, who is retiring after 40 years' service, on superannuation. Mr. G. J. Bryce, locomotive foreman at Taihape, has been transferred to fill the vacancy at Christchurch.
Mr. R. A. Walker, locomotive foreman at Frankton Junction, has been appointed to the position vacated at Auckland by Mr. Maloney, who has retired on superannuation after 40 years' service.
Mr. T. Bar: .man, locomotive foreman at Whangarei, will take up a similar position at Frankton Junction.
