HEAVY POLLING IN HAURAKI.

"Heavy polling" was the report of Mr. •T. Lawes, returning officer for the new Hauraki electorate, early this afternoon. The headquarters of the electorate, which are situated at Otaliuhu, were kept busy supplying voting papers to the booths, of which there are 44 in the electoral district, and from the opening of the poll at Otahuhu there was a steady stream of voters. The same applied in the other towns. At the country centreß, of which there are many in Hauraki, the position was quieter.
