RESULT OF MAORI ELECTION.

THREE MEMBERS RE-ELECTED SOUTHERN WON BY UNITED. One Reform member lost his seat in the election of the four Maori members of Parliament yesterday. Sir Apirana Ngata (United), Sir Maui Pomare (Government), and Mr. Tau Henare (Government) were re-elected, cach with a substantial majority. The Southern Maori electorate has returned Mr. Tuiti Makitanara (United), who polled one vote more than Mr. E. T. Tirikatane, the Ratana candidate. Details of the polling follow: — NORTHERN MAORI.
