AT HUNUA.: '■'■ The' United i'party's' candidate for I Hauraki, Mr. Ebenezer Allan, .had a good meeting at .Hunua last evening, mnd at the. finish received a unanimous vote of thanks, and'confidence.- Mr. Thos. Lockwood,, the. Hunua riding member for Erankliri'County Council,'presided over a. full attendance; in the ; Public Hall. Mr. Allan 'spoke on the lines of .'previous addresses. He expounded the "Ward millions" .scheme,to the' satisfaction of his Shearers, who were all small farmers. Mr. Allan spoke of (the personal benefit the \ Hunua.-people had:-reeeived;_ when Sir Joseph-Ward,was; Prime Minister. Sir. Joseph*, had ' obtained .a-grant of £1500 for. the'Huiiua Gorge' Road, enabling the settlers a safe and . quick means of' ingress and access to the outer world. i* ,-,.., ....., T ,''■;'''; During* the afternoon Mr." Allan held meetings and- visited- r ,Paparimu,' Happy Valley and Moumoiikai, where votes of confidence were' 7 carried. •'"•-■■••.'
