Fire Rages For Two Hours

In Sydney.

FIREMAN INJURED,

SYDNEY, November 8.

A fire which raged for two hours this afternoon at Redfern destroyed two factories and four residences. The damage exceeded £50,000. The factories were Riley's furniture manufactory and Dickson's box factory. The furniture was removed from about 20 houses in the vicinity, but the fire brigade was able to check the blaze. A falling wall injured a fireman, McKinnon, and a woman collapsed with excitement in one of the threatened houses. She fell downstairs and wa3 hurt.

A fire in the timber yard of John Sharp and Sons at Montague, Victoria, gutted an adjacent garage and an engineering shop. The stacks of timber were saved. The damage is estimated at several thousands of pounds.
