TURN FELL FLAT.

BUT ARTIST GOT DAMAGES.

(Australian and N.Z. Press Association.)

(Received 12 noon.)

LONDON, October 30.

A music hall artist, Flora Cromer, was awarded £250 damages from the Alhambra Company, who refused to allow her to perform in September, 1923. She had just returned from a lengthy tour of Australia. On the second night of the Alhambra she was waiting to appear when the manager told her to pack and get out.

Sir Oswald Stoll gave evidence that the items were completely out of sympathy with the programme and the audience. Miss Cromer knew her turn, but it fell flat.
