BYRD'S DOG PACK.
Shipment Of Eskimo "Huskies" For N.Z. KEEPING FIT EN ROUTE. (United Service.) (Received 10 a.m.) QUEBEC, September 4. Eighty Eskimo husky dogs have been assembled and sent, through Ungava and Northern Quebec. They will be shipped to the United States naval supply base at Hampton Roads en route for NewZealand for Byrd's expedition. Mr. David Buckingham, Commander Byrd's veterinarian, has invented a treadmill aboard the ship where they will cxerrise regularly to develop muscle and dispose of fat.
