READY TO FIGHT.
FUTURE OF TORIES. Baldwin Will Go To The Country. CABINET CHANGES CERTAIN. (Australian and N.Z. Press Association.) (Received 1.30 p.m.) LOXDOX, September 4. The "Daily Express" states that since his return from Aix-les-Baines, ■where he stayed with Mr. and Mrs. Baldwin, Mr. J. C. C. Davidson, M.P., chairman of the Conservative party, presided at the executive of the National Union of Conservative Associations. This, together with private conferences. shows that Mr. Baldwin has no intention of resigning and is anxious to go to the country with the appearance of a united and harmonious Ministry. If he is returned it is decided that there will be a complete overhaul of the Cabinet and tlie inclusion of new and younger men. Sir Austen Chamberlain's retirement from the Foreign Office is a certainty. Ho may be given a lighter office if his health is restored, such as the Privy .Seal. Lord Cushendun's claims for the Foreign Office are apparent but will have to overcome powerful opposition.
