Mrs. Florence 1 Knapp, former Secretary of the State of New York, who was convicted of larceny of the State, census funds, was sentenced to 30 days' gaol. On January 22 last it was reported that the commissioner who had investigated the charges made against Mrs. Knapp of malfeasance while in office, recommended that she be prosecuted.
