Will Attend Battlefield Pilgrimage. PRACTICAL HELP PROMISED. (Australian Press Assn. — United Service.) (Received 11.30 a.m.) LONDON - , May 27. Marshal Foeli attended the British Legion Conference at Scarborough and was made an honorary legionary. The Prince of Wales addressed 550 delegates. Ho promised his practical help and praised the legion's relief work, stating that he would accompany the 10,000 legionaries oil their battlefield pilgrimage in August. Karl Jellieoe paid a tribute to the late Karl Haig and the legion's thousands of voluntary workers. The Prince flew back to Sandringhain to dine with Their Majesties.
The Duke of York took the salute of 1000 legionaries, including five Victoria Cross winners at a parade at Whitehall. FOCH REVIEWS GUARD. OLD SENTIMENTS RENEWED. (Hritisli Official Wireless.) (Received 12.30 p.m.) PUG BY, May 27. Marshal I'och arrived in London last night to keep bis appointment t.o attend the annual conference of the British Legion of Servicemen at Scarborough. When reviewing the British Legion guard of honour at the railway station, he said that the sight of them renewed in him the sentiments which bad existed between them and him when they were comrades on the battlefields. It gave hint the liveliest satisfaction, he said, to be back in London again.
