Smith's Flight From America To Australia. FINAL ARRANGEMENTS MADE. (Australian and N.Z. Press Association.) (Received 9.30 a.m.) LOS ANGELES, May 24. It is flow learned that Captain Kinss-ford-Smith»hopes to commence his flight to Australia on June 1. He at present plans to leave for Mills Field to-mor-row, accompanied by Mr. C. T. l/ln:, where tho 'plane's instruments will he adjusted and final preparations for the flight made. Captain' Smith declared that the crew will be composed of himself and Mr. Ulm as pilots, Captain Hurry Lyon, of Maine, as navigator, and Mr. James Warner, of Kansas City, as radio operator.
Upon their arrival at Honolulu the airmen will spend a day or two resting and will then proceed to the Fiji Islands, where Captain Lyon and Mr. Warner will leave the 'plane. Captain Smith and Mr. Ulm will then continue alone to Brisbane according to their present plans.
