NORTHCOTE SERVICE.
At Northcote a commemorative service was held in $he Onewa Theatre, nearly 600 being present. The Mayor (Mr. A. E. Greenslade) presided. Those who took part were: The Rev. T. Halliday, Major G. R. Hutchinson, the Revs. J. H. Allen (Methodist), Thos. Southworth (Anglican) and S. L. Boot (Presbyterian). The various church choirs assisted the musical portion of the service.
The Norfebcote Women's Progressive League placed a laurel wreath on the Nortlheote War Memorial.
