SERVICE AT DEVONPORT.

There was not standing room in the Victoria Theatre when the Devonport service started last evening. The Mayor of Devonport (Mr. E. Aldridge) delivered a fine address. "The Inspiration of Anzac Day," and the Rev. J. F. Martin, of the Devonport Methodist Church, spoke on "A Name for the Nameles*." Hymns included "0 God Our Help in Ages Past," "Lead Kindly Light," Kipling's "Recessional" and "O, Valiant Hearts." Miss Phyllis Gribbin sang "The Lord is My .Light" and "Alleluia." In the morning a short service was held at the Memorial, when the Mayor laid a wreath on behalf of the Borough Council. At the conclusion of this ceremony the base of the statue was covered with wreaths.
