WREATHS FOR THE FALLEN.

In most of the suburbs where residents did hot take part in the celebrations in the city special oommunity services were held. Of those in the eastern suburbs one of the largest was 'at Pukekohe, where fully 90 returned soldiers joined in the parade, which was representative of all activities in the district. A short commemorative service was held in the park. The Mayor (Mr. John Rout ley) presided. Short addressee w«re given by Mr. Routley and the Rev. H. L. Fiebig, B.A. (Methodist), while Mr. E. Allan (Presbyterian), Rev. J. P. Cowie (Anglican) and the Captain of the Salvation Army assisted with the service. A large number of beautiful wreaths were placed at the base of the Cenotaph.

A service was held in the Buckland Public Hall, Mr. E. Allan presiding over a large attendance. The chief spea.ker was the member'for Raglan (Mr. W. Lee Martin). The Rev. H. L. Fie big and Mr. W. Bullock assisted with the service. At Pa pa toe-toe, in the Public TTgll, the chairman of the Town Board (Mr. A. W. Hall) presided over a large attendance. Those who took part were the Revs. Arthur Mitchell, P. C. Davie, A. W. Silvester, F. Greenwood, and T. H. Roseveare. The Papa toe toe Band played the Dead March.

The gathering at Pakuira took place in the forenoon at the WaT Memorial. An address was given by the Rev. W. C. Wood, and a collection was taken up in aid of the War Memorial Park.

At Onehunga the Foresters' Theatre was filled for a service which was conducted by the Rev. C. F. R. Harrison, and at which an address was given by Mr. W. E. Vickery. In the western suburbs a large procession was held at Avonda],e, and it was followed by an impressive service in the Town Hall. The speakers were the Revs. A. Drake (Anglican), F. A. Thompson (Presbyterian), and C. Jordan (Methodist) and Mr. A. Firth (Baptist).

At Titrrangi a combined service was •held in the afternoon at the Titirangi Soldiers' Memorial. The Revs. W. P. Rankin and H. R. Jecks conducted the proceedings.
