DISHONEST MILKMAN.
STEALS EMPLOYER'S MONET. * THREE MONTHS' IMPRISONMENT. Harold Green (35) appeared at the Police Court this afternoon to answer seven charges of stealing, on divers dates between September, 1927, and February last, sums of money totalling £99 18/4£ belonging to C. M. Peck, his employer. Accused, said Chief Detective Hammond, since July of 1926, had been employed by Mr. Peck as a milk roundsman. Since September last he had been misappropriating the funds of his employer. Instead of giving official receipts to customers when he collected accounts, Green merely signed the accounts. He was a married- man with one child, and had never previously been in trouble.
Mr. McKean: Have- you anything to say, Green? —No, sir, nothing. Accused was sentenced to three months' imprisonment. No order was made for restitution.
