Sif Benjamin Fuller, who has returned frcm a tour of the South, went to Syd ney by the Marama this afternoon.

Staying at Hotel Cargen are Mr. and Mrs. James Begg and Mr. E. N. Pry or, of Dunedin, Mr. S. Hutchinson, of Wellington, and Mr. A. G. T.. Coster, of Hajrtce's Bay. ,

Mr. W. G. Kenripk, who, until fui retirement recently, was stipendiary magistrate on the Bay of Plenty circuit, will leave early in Mi>y for a visit to Canada and the Old Country.

Guests at the Central Hotel include Mr. and Mrs. E. «T. Carthew and Mr. E. V. Carthew and Mr. T. Crjmp, of Christchurch, Mf. and Mrs. M. H. Esson, Mr. and Mrs. D. L. Harrowen and Mr. E. Blackmore, of Wellington.

Mr. E. Casey, divisional superintendent for North Inland Railways, who has been attending the official opening ceremonies of the new East Coast Railway at Tauranga, returned to Auckland last evening. Mr. Casey was accompanied by Mr. J. F Mackley, locomotive engineer for the North Island, and Mr. J. K. Lowe, district engineer.
