Mr. T„. A. Hook, deputy general manager of Amalgamated Wireless at a conference of dealers, said that at the present time over half the telegraphic business between Britain and Australia was being handled by the beam system. The saving on telegrams from Australia, by wireless as compared with cables was estimated at £250.000 a year.
