WEDDINGS OF THE WEEK.

NICHOLLS—MILLER.

Ihe marriagfe was solemnised at the Methodist Church. Pollen Street, Thames, on Wednesday last, between Mr. Stanley Tamatea Nicholls, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Nicholls, recently of Te lvuiti and now of Auckland, and Misu Eileen Lillias Miller, second daughter of Mr. and Airs. E. N. Miller, of Parawai, Thames. The Rev. W. A. Burley, M.A., was the officiating minister. The ceremony was attended by a number of relatives, friends and well-wishers of both the young people, it being partly choral, the'many members of the Methodist Church choir attending. 'Ihe Iront of the church was beautifully decorated with bowls of blue hydrangeas and agapanthus. Miss Iwentyman presided at the organ, and played the wedding hymns, as well as Mendelssohn's beautiful "Wedding March" at the conclusion of the service. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked charming in cream georgette, with bands of satin and the usual veil and orange blossoms. She carried a shower bouquet of white flowers, relieved with touches of the,' palest pink carnations and maiden-liair fein. Attending the bride were her sister, Miss Ena Miller, in a powder blue frock, with hat to match, and Miss Mabel Brown, wlo was attired in primrose crepe de chine and primrose liat. The best man was Mr. Phil Wells, of Auckland, while Dr. Trevelyn Miller, only brother of the bride, acted as gioomsman. A reception was afterwards held at the Masonic Hall, where the guests were received by Mrs. E. N. Miller and Mrs. J. Nicholls, the former wealing a frock of mulberry crepe de chine, and the latter a black merv. silk dress, relieved with touches and pleatinfs of crepe de 'line. Mr. and Mrs. Nicholls will leave New Zealand for Nova Scotia in March. The bottom tier of the wedding cake was made bv Mrs. J. Torrens, °t e . w Jersey, U.S.A., cousin of Mrs. E. N. Miller. Telegrams and cables were received from Edinburgh. New York, Melbourne, Los Angeles, St. Louis, and Windsor (Nova Scotia).
