GRANGE ROAD BAPTISTS.
THE ANNUAL MEETING.
The Rev. A. S. Wilson presided over a good attendance of members at the annnal meeting of the Grange Boad Church last night. Mr. A. J. Lucas (secretary) read the annual report, which stated that the uplifting peaching of the pastor had resulted in increased attendances, while the weekly meeting had been an inspiration. The annual balance-sheet was presented by Mr. R. S. Abel, and showed that £1034 3/ had been raised, and all accounts showed a credit balance. Mr. Abel also brought before the meeting the budget of estimated receipts and expenditure for the ensuing year, totalling £960, including £136 for missions, which was passed. The following officers were elected:— Secretary Mr. A, J. Lucas; treasurer, Mr. R. S. Abel; assistant-treasurer, Mr. A. Lawrence; envelope steward. Miss L. Douglas: Press reporter. Miss McTavish; deacons (making eight in all). Messrs. A. J. Lucas, T. I'hlllpotts, F. Wooler, and H. Bristowe; deaconesses (making up eight), Mesdames Lucas, O'Donnell, Whitmarsh, and Wooller; choir leader. Mr. R. S. Abel; organist, Mrs. Wooller; pianist. Miss E. Abel; agent for "Baptist." Miss Blair; collector Baptist Union, Mr. H. J. Buckley; baptismal robe stewardesses, Mesdames Tattersall and Old; Communion stewardesses, Mesdames O'Donnell and Bennett; hon. auditor. Mr. W. A. Kendon; hon. solicitor, Mr. C. C. Chalmers. It was decided to hold a mission, to be conducted by the Rev. W. P. Nicholson, of Ireland, early in the year.
