FRENCH RECOVERY.
FINANCIAL AND ECONOMIC. PARIS. April 17. The extent of the French financial and economic recovery is shown by the figures which were published to-dny by the French Ministry. The tax returns for the first quarter of 1927 exceeded the Budget expectations. The figures of the Customs Department show that exports are increasing as steadily as the imports are decreasing. Unemployment is also decreasing every week.
The well-known French Socialist, M. Leon Blum, writing in the Socialist paper '"Le Populairr,"' forecasts that the franc will be stabilised at about 125 to the £, probably at the end of the year.
