UNLICENSED LISTENERS-IN. FINED £3 AND COSTS. That the Government radio ins|>ector is kept busy these days was once again demonstrated at the Police Court this morning when several more radio enthusiasts were charged with having unlicensed sets.
Hugh Ross Fraser. Frank Liver, and John Thackery were each fined £3 nnd costs £1.
In Thackery's case, the inspector stated that when he visited the hou«e defendant's son informed hiin that he had had the set sonic time, also that he had been in the habit of placing the aerial out at night, and taking it in during the daytime. He added that his father told him to do this.
Defendant told the magistrate that the set had not always been in working order. The very day the inspector had called, he had taken c t a license for the set. At the time he licensed it he was unaware that the inspector had called. The aerial was taken in during the dav as it was in the wav.
