ALLEGED NEGLIGENT DRIVING. (By Telegraph.—Special to " Star."), ASHBURTON, this day.' As the outcome of the death of Herbert Henry Baker, an engineer at the Fairfield works, who was killed' while cycling as £ac result of a collision with a motor car driven by Charles C. Judge, shortly after midnight last Thursday, the latter was charged in the Police Court with negligently driving a motor car, thereby causing the deatli of Baker. Accused pleaded not guilty and reserved his defence. He was committed for trial. Bail in one surety of £100 was allowed.
